Three Graces Bridal

Jesse and I met at work while I was an intern and he was speaking to the company’s interns about the transition from college to working full time. The next year, I was a full-time hire and we both spoke on the same panel! I referenced a few of Jesse’s points when it was my turn to talk and we’ve been attached at the hip ever since. A few years into dating, I went to go take a horseback riding lesson and Jesse surprised me by showing up with flowers. He asked me to get off my horse and knelt down there in the arena dirt to propose! I was completely shocked and overlooked so many hints that we would get engaged that day – including the fact that my horse was braided with white yarn. Riding is my favorite thing in the world to do and it was so incredibly special that Jesse made it a part of his proposal.

When I started looking for a dress, I tried on several that were beautiful, but felt more like something I would wear to a party than get married in. When I put on this Mikaella style, it instantly felt like me! Classic, sophisticated, with some gorgeous lace detail. I loved the train and knew Jesse would love the fitted silhouette. I opted to remove the sleeves since I knew they would be too hot for an outdoor wedding in August.

We got married at Bonnet Island Estate on the water overlooking Long Beach Island, NJ. It was easily the hottest day of the year but that didn’t stop us from having the best day of our lives!
