COUPLE’S WEDDING STORY:
We met while celebrating a mutual friend’s birthday. We spent the evening sitting across the table from one another and sharing smiles, but left without exchanging any contact information.
Throughout the course of next year, we experienced our share of missed connections. Somehow, despite sharing many mutual friends through our love of improv comedy, we refrained from making our feelings known to anyone. We later discovered that we had liked each other for about a year when John made a confession one day. And when we started dating, we knew quickly that we had something special.
We first said, “I love you,” at the Kennedy Center in DC after seeing a performance. When it was time to propose, John knew that he wanted to surprise me at the same location. With the help of a couple of trusted friends to help his plan fall into place, John proposed on the rooftop deck of the Kennedy Center at sunset. We were married at Historic Shady Lane surrounded by our family and friends. My Mikaella dress had a timeless elegance that matched our venue’s vintage feel. Thank you, Mikaella!
