COUPLE’S WEDDING STORY:
Over 12 years ago, my best friend and I met in architecture school. We became partners for projects, then roommates several times, then travel partners where we ultimately traveled to 38 countries together. This was all while we remained close friends and even had a wedding pact for when we turned 40.

It took us about 7 years, but we eventually started dating, moved from Ohio to Denver, and were married on Oct 12, 2019. Being from both Buffalo and Chicago, we decided to celebrate near our everyday life in Colorado.

In regards to my dress, I knew the style I wanted, and when I found the designer, it was easy to narrow down MY dress. Being an architect, the dress was one of the most critical design pieces of our wedding. It had to be contemporary, not many frills, a simple silhouette, and classic. After doing some research online, I found Paloma Blanca and Mikaella dresses. The buttery texture of the Crêpe bottoms and textured lace tops were exactly what I was looking for. I simply found the one store in Denver that carried their dresses, brought in my detailed diagrams about dress details I loved, and found the right dress for me. We went to a few other bridal shops since my mother was in town, but everything brought me back to Mikaella #2211. I was so happy that the Mikaella dress line met my extremely high expectations, and that I became a Mikaella bride.

Paired with my purple shoes, Orthodox wedding crowns my fiance and I made, my grandma’s jewelry she passed down to me, and the beautiful engagement ring we designed together, my wedding day look and style was everything I ever wanted. I never dreamed of my exact dress like some girls do from age 6. However, this look on my wedding day was perfectly me.

We were married at Saint Catherine’s Greek Orthodox in Greenwood Village, CO. Our reception venue was at the beautiful backdrop of Arrowhead Golf Club in Littleton, CO. We truly wanted a Colorado wedding with a mountain experience close to our Greek Orthodox Church. Seeing all our friends and family fly out to celebrate us was one of the most humbling experiences. And at the end of the day, Ryan and I were married and ready to start our next chapter. We traveled to Croatia, Bosnia & Herzegovina, and Montenegro for our honeymoon. Now we’re buying our first house together and planning the future adventures. We are so excited to decorate our new home with beautiful pictures and memories of our perfect day.
