Tie The Knot Tuesday: Featuring Mikaella Bride Cynthia

Our Mikaella Bride Cynthia and her husband Dana got married almost a year ago at an intimate 25-person wedding in Scituate, MA. Cynthia fell for her Style 1656 Mikaella Wedding Dress because of the quality, fit, and the simple romance of this lace and satin gown! Cynthia shared a few moments with us about her wedding:

How did Dana propose?
Cynthia: Dana proposed at a waterfall in New Hampshire. It was a place we visit often and discovered together so it holds a lot of meaning for us.

How did you know your dress was “the one”?
It was love at first sight. I had tried on others but none felt like “the one”. My mother and I went to Vows Bridal Outlet and the Mikaella was the first dress I tried. It was just what I was looking for. Bridal enough but not “foofy”…. It had some lace and crystals but a plain bottom. I also loved the fact that the dress had pockets. I figured I could put lipgloss or tissues in them but I then decided to put a picture of me and my dad who had passed away in one of them. It was a nice way for me to feel he was with me.

Tell us a bit about your wedding day?
Our wedding was small and intimate. 25 people at a beautiful small venue on the water in Scituate, MA. Ceremony on the deck followed by cocktails and finger foods. The atmosphere was like a party… very low key. We even brought a bean bag toss game for guests to play on the deck. Our weather was perfect. Beautiful summer day with blue skies and a slight breeze.

What was your favourite aspect of your wedding day?
My favorite aspect of the wedding day was near the end of the day. My husband gave a speech thanking our guests for coming and come personal words for my mother, his mom and dad and myself as well. It was very touching and it was a moment I will never forget!
