Our Mikaella Bride this week got married and sent us her wedding story earlier this year from across the pond! Clare and her husband Jonathan got married in Ballymena, Northern Ireland on May 2nd, 2014 and she wore our Mikaella Style 1712. Clare told us a beautiful wedding story about how she chose her Mikaella wedding dress, and then we caught up with her to hear more about her wedding day!
How did you know your Mikaella dress was “The One”?
Clare: “It was the most amazing fit and I was so comfortable in the dress! I really loved the difference in the dress from the front to the back and the bow stole the show for me! It is a timeless dress that I will look back on in years to come and still love.”
How did Jonathan propose?
“Johnny proposed on Christmas day 2012. He of course got down on one knee and it was so romantic! It was at his parents’ house so we got to enjoy the excitement with his family.”
What was your favourite memory from your wedding day?
“100% [it was] standing at the front of the church and seeing all our beautiful family and friends! We are so blessed to have so many to enjoy our day with us.”
Best advice for brides-to-be?
“Try to relax and not worry about silly little details! Everything comes together on the day and try to enjoy every second of your wedding day.”
Tell us about your theme, what inspired it?
“Traditional and elegance!! We picked the Dunadry Hotel for our reception which is very old fashioned with beautiful gardens. We went for old fashioned candelabras on the table father than flowers which gave the more elegant touch.”
