Our very first Featured Paloma Blanca Bride, Erina, picked out her Style 4363 wedding dress at Bay Area Bridal. When she picked up this Classic Wedding Gown, it happened to be the same day our Fashion Coordinator was in the shop for a Bay Area Bridal in store event, and once her story came through to our website, we knew we wanted her to be the first bride we featured on our blog! We are so thrilled that we were able to share Erina and Chuck’s absolutely beautiful wedding day with you. They both put a tremendous amount of love and care into the decorations and planning, and even practiced their first dance for a month to bring together their perfect wedding day.
Erina: I bought [my dress] at Bay Area Bridal in Cupertino, CA. I tried on dress #4116 but when I saw #4363 online after it first came out, I immediately knew it was the one! I love the ruffle detail, dramatic and princess look.
What was your favourite aspect of your wedding day?
Erina: All of them! Ceremony, reception at the gorgeous Rengstorff House, dancing, everything!
Tell us about your theme, what inspired it?
Erina: Vintage, rustic, romantic, The Rengstorff House. When I saw the house, I knew this is the place I wanted us to have our wedding!
Erina shared a few more memories of her wedding day with us as well, “On our wedding day, I was so nervous I could not sleep the day before. Time just flew away. I could not believe how fast the day went by. We did a lot of DIY wedding decorations for our wedding that we had worked on since February. We were so proud of what we created. My husband always helped me with our projects and we made our wedding perfect!
At our wedding, I was nervous during the ceremony but after the ceremony, my nervousness flew away and I was ready for the reception. I cried and I still remember the letter from my husband. I love him so much. At our reception, the biggest thing was our first dance. We practiced for a month before our wedding. We mixed a montage of songs and we made our perfect first dance. It was a blast! Everybody loved it.
Then on with the cake cutting, dancing, visiting with our guests and my thank you letter to my parents, it was very moving and emotional for me and my family and many of the guests. I had dreamed about my wedding since I was a little girl and my wedding was even better than I had imagined. We’re never going to forget the magical feeling of our wedding. I love my husband and I am glad I found him. Love is a beautiful thing.
As for my dress, I still watch many wedding TV shows and I still feel that I chose the best dress for me! We will have another wedding ceremony in Japan this coming May with my Paloma Blanca dress. I’m so happy to be able to wear it again!”
